Prayers for the Gannon Family

So tragic.  Michelle was a student of mine during her sophomore year and is a wonderful girl.   My heart aches for her and her family.

Jerry York Quote - Love it!

"What we do have is a terrific mindset that once you enter our program, you are an “Eagle,” and that’s way above any individual pursuits here, like All-America honors or Hobey Baker honors. Then there is that feeling that we share this with each other – we care for each other, kind of a cultural thing, a BC thing. That is what separates us from a lot of other teams. Other teams have gotten good players, and have mastered the Xs and Os, but our emotional involvement in winning games and chasing trophies is what drives our whole engine."

Harry Reid Is Delusional - His Thoughts on Not Cutting Back the Postal Service

Madam President," Reid said to Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.), the presiding officer of the Senate, "I'll come home tonight here to my home in Washington and there'll be some mail there. A lot of it is what some people refer to as junk mail, but for the people who are sending that mail, it's very important.

"And when talking about seniors, seniors love getting junk mail. It's sometimes their only way of communicating or feeling like they're part of the real world," Reid continued. "Elderly Americans, more than anyone in America, rely on the United States Postal Service, but unless we act quickly, thousands of post offices ... will close. I've said this earlier today; I repeat it.

Shout Out to Samson Lee and Chris Malloy

The student managers of our National Championship team work behind the scenes helping our coaches game plan for our opponents.  I've have had players tell me what an asset they are to the team.  Also, I see first hand how hard these guys work  And they are stellar students in the classroom.  Congratulations Samson and Chris!

Video From April 7, 2001

April 7, 2001

It was 11 years ago today in Albany, NY when Krys Kolanos scored an overtime goal to clinch the 2001 National Championship for our Eagles, their first such championship in 52 years. Since then, BC has won 3 championships, played in 10 Frozen Fours and gone to the final game 6 times.

Hopefully tonight will be another great moment in BC hockey history.

BC Hockey Compared To 2007 Patriots - From Today's Boston Globe

TAMPA - Perhaps you haven’t noticed, consumed by the Red Sox’ closer quandary or Patriots mock drafts, but the Boston College men’s hockey team is displaying a brand of dominance we haven’t witnessed in these parts since the 2007 Patriots.
BC has won 18 consecutive games, with the latest being a 6-1 evisceration of the University of Minnesota in the semifinals of the Frozen Four Thursday night at the Tampa Bay Times Forum. The Eagles will play some school named Ferris State for the national title Saturday.
To put the Eagles’ greatness in perspective, the last time Boston College lost, dropping a 7-4 decision at Maine Jan. 21, was one day before the Patriots defeated the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Championship game. Since then, the Eagles have outscored their opponents, 73-20.
No team this brilliant should get lost in the Boston sports shuffle. So, if you’re the type that tunes out college sports, it’s time to tune in the hockey heroes from the Heights.
They are a team of destiny and Destry (that’s the first name of second-line right winger Destry Straight, one of 11 players to figure into the scoresheet). They have a goalie, Parker Milner, who is making saves that Tim Thomas would talk about on Facebook. They play a style so aesthetically pleasing that it would make one of Milner’s fellow Pittsburgh natives, Andy Warhol, gush. The garish gold uniforms the Eagles keep donning are Warholian, but they’re working. (They are 9-0 in the gold threads.)
The irrepressible Jerry York, who has BC a win away from its third national title in five seasons, has really outdone himself with this bunch. The Eagles don’t just defeat opponents, they demoralize them. Give Minnesota credit for a moral victory. The Golden Gophers scored the first goal BC has allowed in the NCAA Tournament.
That’s what it’s come to with BC, scoring a goal on them is news. The Eagles have outscored their tournament foes, 12-1.

Obama says lowering tax rates = spending. That implies he thinks all your money belongs to him. 100% of it.
